Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use rhinostar.net or buy anything from it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. In these terms, “Rhino Star”, “we” and “us” mean Rhino Star Music, the owner of rhinostar.net. “You” means the person using the site or buying from it.

1. Who we are

Rhino Star Music sells digital tools for music producers and DJs: sample packs, construction kits, loops, one-shots, MIDI files, synth presets, bundles and production guides. We are based in Los Angeles, California. You can reach us at support@rhinostar.net or through our contact form.

2. Using the site

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the site. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms and agree to them for you.
  • Use the site only for lawful purposes. Don’t try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, and don’t use bots or scripts to copy its content or files.
  • We work to keep product information accurate, but mistakes can happen. We may correct errors, change products or prices, or remove products at any time.

3. Accounts

You can buy as a guest, or create an account to keep your orders and downloads in one place. If you create an account, keep your login details private and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account, so tell us right away if you think someone else is using it. We may suspend or close an account that uses false details, breaks these terms or is used for fraud.

4. Orders, payment and delivery

  • Prices are shown in US dollars and include everything you pay us for the product. Your bank or card provider may add its own fees.
  • We accept payment by card through Stripe and by PayPal. We don’t store your full card details.
  • All products are digital. Nothing is shipped. After checkout you get a download link by email, and the files also appear in your account if you have one.
  • If your download link doesn’t arrive or a file won’t open, email support@rhinostar.net with your order number and we will fix it.
  • We may cancel an order that looks fraudulent or was placed at a clearly wrong price. If we do, we will refund any payment in full.

5. Refunds

If you are not happy with a product, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

  • Email support@rhinostar.net with your order number and a short note on what went wrong.
  • The refund applies to individual product purchases. It does not cover bulk or repeat orders, and it is limited to one refund per person.
  • Refunds go back to the payment method you used.
  • Once a product is refunded, your license to that product ends, and you must delete the files and stop using them in new work.

6. License to use our sounds

Every product comes with the same license. The plain language version is on our License page. The legal terms are:

  • What you get. When you buy a product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license, with no time limit, to use the audio files, MIDI files and presets in it (“the Sounds”) as part of music or other media you create (“Your Work”).
  • What you can do. You can use the Sounds in Your Work for free or for sale, with no royalties or extra fees. This includes released music, DJ sets, live shows, films, ads, games, videos, podcasts and other media. You can edit, chop, layer, process and resample the Sounds as much as you like.
  • What you can’t do. You can’t sell, share, give away, rent, upload or distribute the Sounds on their own, as they are or edited. You can’t use them to make or add to another sample pack, loop library, preset pack, sound library or virtual instrument. You can’t pass your license to someone else.
  • Who it covers. One license covers one person, who may use the Sounds on any of their own devices. A team or company that wants several people to use the Sounds should contact us.
  • Ownership. You own Your Work. We keep all rights in the original Sounds.
  • Ebooks and guides. Production guides such as EDM Production Toolbox are for your personal use only. You can’t copy, resell or share them.

If you break this license, it ends automatically, and you must stop using the Sounds in new work.

7. Our content and trademarks

Everything on the site, including the Sounds, text, artwork, logos and design, belongs to Rhino Star or the people we license it from. “Rhino Star” and our logos are our trademarks. Don’t use them without our written permission.

8. Reviews and comments

If you post a review or comment, it must be honest and lawful. Don’t post anything abusive, misleading, infringing or promotional, or anything that contains harmful code. You let us show what you post on the site. We may remove any post at our discretion.

9. Copyright concerns

If you believe something on the site uses your work without permission, email support@rhinostar.net. Tell us which page and material you mean, what rights you hold, and how to contact you. We will look into it and remove material that infringes.

10. Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites, such as YouTube or social media. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or practices. Their own terms apply when you visit them.

11. Disclaimer

We make our products and site with care, but they are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don’t promise that the site will always be available, error free or free of viruses, or that a product will suit every purpose. Please scan downloaded files and keep backups of your work. Play audio at safe volumes, since very loud sound can damage your hearing.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Rhino Star is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost data or damage to equipment, arising from your use of the site or our products. If we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your rights under consumer protection laws are not affected.

13. Indemnity

If you break these terms or the license, and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.

14. Privacy

We use your details only to process orders, deliver products, provide support and run the site. See our Privacy Policy for details.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The version in place when you place an order applies to that order.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any dispute will be handled by the courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
